DesignUp began working with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (S.A.I.T.) to provide a course that would offer a transition from AutoCAD 2D drafting to SolidWorks™ 3D design software. The main goal is to assist long time 2D CAD users with an easier transition to the design input required for 3D solid modeling. The result was 'SolidWorks Saturdays' and the course is now part of their continuing education calender.

The course is divided up into three smaller sections; beginner, intermediate and advanced. Students are incouraged to take all three to give them a good introduction to this powerful design package.
